Cricket Bat donated to Damso School Cricketer

DCPPA – UAE, Dharmasoka College, Past Pupils’ association, United Arab Emirates Group, Executive Committee made a decision during their Executive Committee Meeting to donate a cricket bat including batting gloves to a Sokian, Ravindu Rashantha, who is being playing for School over a period of time. The request is received from Ravindu himself and verified by the School Cricket coach, Mr. Ashoka de Silva and Principal and current President of OBA, Mr. Kesara Weththamuni.

Ravindu Rashantha from Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda is emerged as the Best Fielder in the All-Island Schools category at the event organized by Sunday Times and Dialog 4-G, whom had made this their day to rejoice in a cricketing sense. He is a very prospective cricketer who will become a player in the Sri Lankan under 19 school team and expect that he will continue to play and become a member of the Sri Lanka team in time to come.

The donation pack which comprises cricket bat including batting gloves was handed over to Ravindu on 31 October 2017 by a DCPPA – UAE member, Mr. Tiraj, at the School premises with the presence of Principal and current President of OBA, Mr. Kesara Weththamuni.

Ravindu was delighted with the receipt of his dream bat and gloves and his appreciation is spell out from his own words as you may see his email post hereunder.

This is another proud moment to we all DCPPA – UAE members as we continue to strive serving the alma mater and very much excited to see receiving the benefit in return to mother Dhamso in years to come.

Accordingly another DCPPA-UAE event is concluded in a successful manner.

Sokians are lead to serve.
