UAE Sokians won the DLCC Plate Trophy 2017

Sokians won the Plate Trophy in their very first appearance ever of inter schools tournament comprised of old boys of 16 Sri Lankan Schools, who are residing in United Arab Emirates at present.

The tournament was organised by Desert Lankans Cricket Club on 10 November 2017 and total of 16 school teams which includes St. Thomas College (Matele), Ananda College (Colombo), Nalanda College (Colombo),  St. Joseph’s College (Maradana) Dharmasoka College (Ambalangoda),  Zahira College (Colombo), St. Marians College (Chilaw) , Maliyadewa College (Kurunegala), Mahinda College (Galle), Lumbini College (Colombo), St. Thomas College (Matara), Zahira College (Matale), St.Mary’s College (Kegalle), Lyceum College (Colombo) and  Dharmaraja College (Kandy) were participated.

Sokians team was led by Sineth, whose captaincy was simply outstanding which completes the story success. The majority of supporters are from Sokians which shows the love towards their Alma matter and the unity and strength of DCPPA UAE.
