UAE Sokians Won the Olcott Memorial Trophy for the 3rd Consecutive Year
Olcott Memorial Trophy 2018 cricket tournament was held on 23rd February 2018 for the 11th time at Sharjah Skyline University Ground with the participation of teams consist with Past Pupils of Sri Lankan schools, namely Dharmasoka College (Ambalangoda), Mahinda College (Galle), Ananda College (Colombo), Rahula College (Matara), Maliyadewa College (Kurunegala), Nalanda College (Colombo), Dharmapala College (Pannipitiya), Dharmaraja College (Kandy).
Cricket team consists of Past Pupils of Dharmasoka College in the United Arab Emirates, Members of DCPPA-UAE, was able to win both, the Olcott Memorial Trophy and the best School Hut award, for the 3rd consecutive year and this was a unique achievement by DCPPA – UAE in the United Arab Emirates reflecting the unity, corporation, and coordination among the Members.
Dharmasoka College hut was decorated by old Sokians, Migara Egalahewa, Upul Bandara and Jeewana Samarajeewa with traditional Masks and Muppets by fetching Hometown, Ambalangoda, culture to the United Arab Emirates. Sokians commitment, the dedication was so evident by winning best hut whole these three years in a row in spite of the fact that the competitors were given fair contest to beat Sokians.
Dharmasoka College beat Ananda College and Rahula College beat Dharmaraja College in the semi-finals. Trophy final match played between Rahula College and Dharmasoka College where Rahula College was able to scored 46 runs in their allotted 5 overs with 5 wickets and Dharmasoka College was able to score 47 runs within 3 overs and three bowls to spare in the fourth over with the expense only 3 wickets in order to mark this historical moment in Olcott Memorial Champions Trophy competition history.

* The Best Batsman of the Tournament – Pasindu Wanniarachchi of Dharmasoka College
* The Best Bowler or the Tournament – Sineth Chathuranga, Captain for Dharmasoka College,
* The Man of the Match (Final) – Pasindu Wanniarachchi of Dharmasoka College.
* The Best School Hut Award – Award received by Upul Banadara of Dharmasoka College.
