5th Annual General Meeting of DCPPA – UAE

DCPPA – UAE hosted its fifth (5th) Annual General Meeting on Friday, 05th February 2021, as an online event by integrating Zoom video webinar from 8pm onwards.

 Although the event was to be started with honoring to both national anthems of Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates and followed by lighting the traditional oil lamp and one-minute silent to tribute war heroes who sacrifice their lives to protect our motherland during three-decade War, due to the practical constraints it has been avoided and the apology has being rendered by the Secretary. 

Subsequently, Secretary inaugurates the event by verifying the quorum which requires to formally commence the Annual General Meeting for DCPPA – UAE. 

The annual report was presented by past President Mr. Kanishka Priyantha and Treasure report was presented by Mr. Lalitha Weerarathne, Past Treasurer, which were subsequently approved by Sokians. 

In accordance with the constitution, Executive Members were elected including President, Secretary, Treasury, Vice President, Assistant Secretary for the Year 2021 as Members were decided to continue with the same board as last year with the replacement of Executive Member who return to Sri Lanka.
